• Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 50+ sunscreen daily and minimise direct sun exposure for at least two weeks.
• Keep the treated area clean and well hydrated using a gentle moisturiser.
• Avoid hot showers, saunas, steam rooms and vigorous exercise for 24 to 48 hours, or as advised by your practitioner.
• Do not pick, scratch or exfoliate any darkened pigmented spots, as they will naturally flake away over time.
• Avoid active skincare ingredients such as retinoids, exfoliating acids (AHAs/BHAs) and other potentially irritating products for 3 to 5 days, or until your skin has fully settled.
• Mineral makeup can usually be applied the following day if the skin is intact and comfortable.

Mild redness, warmth and slight swelling are common after treatment and typically resolve within a few hours to a couple of days. Pigmented spots may temporarily darken before naturally fading, while vascular lesions gradually improve as the body clears the treated vessels.
