• Hydration – Keep the skin well moisturised and maintain good hydration by drinking plenty of water to support tissue repair and collagen remodelling.
• Sun protection – Avoid excessive sun exposure. Apply SPF 50+ daily and use protective clothing, as the treated area may be more sensitive to UV exposure.
• Medications – It is recommended to avoid anti-inflammatory medications for two weeks (such as ibuprofen or Nurofen), as they may interfere with the natural inflammatory response required for collagen stimulation.
– If you become unwell or require these medications for an unrelated medical reason, your health always comes first. Please follow medical advice and consult your doctor if needed.
• Skin care – Be gentle with the treated area. Avoid exfoliants, retinol, hyaluronic acid, and any products that may cause peeling or irritation.
• Avoid overheating the skin – Do not expose the treated area (face, neck, abdomen, or any treated region) to excessive heat. Avoid saunas, hot spas, steam rooms, hot yoga, and very hot showers for two weeks. Use lukewarm water only for cleansing.
Do not use active or brightening serums (e.g., vitamin C, retinol, acids, or pigment-correcting products) for 7 days post-treatment.
• Lifestyle factors – Limit alcohol and sugar intake, as both can negatively affect collagen and elastin through the glycation process.
• Physical activity – Avoid intense exercise for 24 hours. Light activities such as walking are acceptable.
